The original bike shop closed it’s doors around 1994, the building is still there in Lomita California and is now occupied by a motorcycle accessory business. I thought about trying to negotiate with the owner to re open the shop there…

I worked for The Bicycle Source from 1989 to 1994, as both a wrench & sales. At that time Joe Stearn was the sole owner. It has been great re-connecting w/ Steve back in 2006, we’ve been hanging out/riding since then. When is the reunion? 🙂
I started picking up Cigarette butts and making runs to Weirnershnitzel when I was 10. Joe Stern hired me when I was 14 for $3 an hour. Worked there until I was 19. So many memories. This is really cool Steve you are a good man.
